Adult Education

The purpose of the Adult Education and Literacy Program is to inspire and enable all adults, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Adults enroll to seek employment, advance on the job, pursue a college education, and/or for personal enrichment. All classes and instructional materials used in the classroom are also available free of charge. Classes are available in Navarro, Ellis, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties.

Do I have to take GED classes before taking the test?

No, please go to ged.com to register the test any time you like. We suggest you take the classes, since they are free, for a good refresher for the material.​

How much does the GED test cost?

​The GED test cost is currently $145.
